Chocolate Granola Biscuits

You are probably familiar with granola for breakfast, perhaps with yoghurt and a bit of jam. And possibly you’ve had granola biscuits before. Since we love homemade granola, and peanut butter, and chocolate, we came up with this recipe for chocolate granola biscuits.

Great fun to make yourself, or together with your kids. Making your own granola is not difficult at all. But definitely very tasty! Especially in combination with the sweetness of chocolate and the refined taste of our Peanut Butter Coco Maple!

SEEDS, NUTS AND DRIED FRUITS

Granola is a mixture with seeds, nuts, and dried fruits. Basically comparable to muesli! But then roasted! Enjoy!

Ingrediënten

  • UTENSILS
  • 25 g whole almonds
  • 25 g whole hazelnuts
  • Ice cream scoop (or simply a spoon)
  • Baking paper
  • 25 g pumpkin seeds
  • 200 g rolled oats
  • 100 ml apple juice
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 25 g raisins
  • 250 g dark chocolate
  • 150 g peanut butter coconut maple

Bereiding

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 °C.
  2. Put the nuts and pumpkin seeds in an ovenproof dish and roast them in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
  3. Mix the rolled oats with the nuts in a bowl and stir in the apple juice and honey.
  4. Put the mixture back into the ovenproof dish and roast in the oven for another 15 minutes.
  5. Stir up the mixture and roast for another 10 minutes. Let the granola cool down and stir in the raisins.
  6. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate using a bain marie. Stir in the peanut butter and mix until smooth. Then stir in the granola.
  7. Use an ice cream scoop to shape small balls from the mixture. Make sure the outside of the balls are well covered with chocolate.
  8. Place the balls on a baking tray lined with baking paper and let the biscuits stiffen for 30 minutes.
